We have four language laboratories in the SSC that we can offer you for use.

Equipment

Language laboratory I: projector, loudspeaker

Language laboratory II / language laboratory III: projector, smartboard, loudspeaker

Language laboratory IV: Smartboard (possibility to borrow an external Bluetooth box for better sound quality)

In the long term, the purchase of computer workstations and a digital language teaching system is planned.

In addition to the technical equipment, all four language laboratories also have whiteboards.

If you are interested in reserving one of our language laboratories, you or your business office can send a request for in KLIPS 2. The KLIPS room names and codes are as follows:

Please note: We continue prioritize language learning classes when allocating rooms.

Lecturers can borrow the following devices for their lessons during opening hours: three external CD drives and a Bluetooth Teufel box for playing audio. Please reserve the desired device via email before picking it up (sprachlaboruni-koeln.de)

You can also book our media library for events such as workshops or hybrid (guest) lectures. The media library is not available for regular courses.

Equipment

The media library is equipped with a projector, speakers, a ceiling microphone and a permanently installed conference camera and is therefore particularly suitable for hybrid events. 

Regular seating with tables offers 20 seats/workstations in the media library.
