DAAD English language test
The DAAD English language test consists of an approximately 50-minute central exam in which the competency areas of reading comprehension and written text production are tested. Afterwards, oral language skills are tested in groups of 2 or 3. We will send you material by email a few days before the test date which you are supposed to prepare for the oral part of the exam. There may be waiting times of up to two hours during the oral tests.
DAAD Spanish language test
The DAAD Spanish language test consists of a 5-10 minute central listening comprehension test, which is followed by an approximately 50-minute central test in which the competency areas of reading comprehension and written text production are tested. Afterwards, oral language skills are tested in groups of 2 or 3. We will send you material by email a few days before the test date which you are supposed to prepare for the oral part of the exam. There may be waiting times of up to two hours during the oral tests.

If you are unable to take part in the language test, please contact the language laboratory staff via email (sprachlabor@uni-koeln.de) as soon as possible so the newly available place can be passed on to another applicant on the waiting list.
