Language Learning Materials

The language lab offers a large selection of textbooks, CDs and other educational material, that are accessible for students during opening hours.

The materials are available for the following languages:

Afrikaans, Arabic, Brazilian-Portuguese, Catalan, Chinese, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Filipino, Finnish, French, German (including German as a foreign language), Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Norwegian, Persian, Polish, Romanian, Portuguese, Russian, Serbian, Somali, Swedish, Spanish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian 

Research

You can search for titles within our inventory. Simply click on this link. Now you can enter your desired search term (e.g. a language of your choice) into the search mask and start the search. If you now click on the title of a medium, you will not only receive further details about the medium, but also information about the media type. The language lab's offering currently includes books, CDs and audio cassettes, as well as VHS cassettes. The language laboratory also has 3 external CD drives that can be borrowed along with the CDs.  Make a note of the shelf mark under which the medium is sorted.

Loaning material

The media can be lend during our opening hours for a maximum period of 2 weeks. The lending period may be extended if no other students have requested the book. Please register in advance by email (sprachlaboruni-koeln.de).

All you need to register once is a valid student ID and a personal email address. The number of media that can be borrowed at the same time is unlimited.
