Jan-André Diederich hat seinen Masterabschluss in angewandter Sprachwissenschaft (Englisch und Deutsch) an der Technischen Universität Dortmund gemacht. Er leitet das Sprachlabor der Philosophischen Fakultät der Universität zu Köln, promoviert in der englischen Sprachwissenschaft und ist darüber hinaus in der universitären Lehre tätig. Seine Forschungsinteressen umfassen insbesondere Linguistic Landscapes, Mehrsprachigkeit und World Englishes sowie die Kontexte Gibraltar und Galicien.
